TANDEM PILOT COURSE
 
For aspiring Tandem pilots; we host Tandem Pilot Courses. These courses are held over several weekends and at a minimum of 3 sites.

Requirements to sign up for the course are :-

Minimum of 300 logged flights.
Minimum of 150 hours logged.
Be in possession of a Sports Pilot licence (advanced licence) for a minimum of 12 months.
Been a paraglider pilot for a minimum of 2 years.

The course will include :-

* Instruction for Tandem flying by an Instructor with a Tandem rating.
* Tandem flying manual.
* The latest advanced Tandem inflation and deflation techniques.
* Tandem landing techniques in difficult landing situations, for all weather conditions.
* Correct reserve attachment methods.
* A minimum of 12 tandem flights - The first 2 with a Tandem rated Instructor as pilot in command.
* A further 10 flights with 2 Tandem rated pilots, so as to experience different weight ranges.
* Instruction at 3 different sites
* 3 flights will be made during 12 and 3pm, at sites which are at least 20 km inland.
* One or more flights will be a minimum of 30 minutes.
 * Extensive coverage and application of the Tandem Syllabus & Protocol.

If you are not in possession of your own Tandem glider and Tandem reserve, these can be hired for the duration of the course.
